Trash the Dress

SPECIAL NOTICE!!  Audrey's TTD shoot is on the cover and is a feature story in the Spring/Summer 2008 issue of
"Weddings with Style International" magazine!  How cool is that??  When we have a direct link, we'll post it here.

Trash the Dress started in California and has been spreading across the U.S.  In some areas, brides do literally "trash" their wedding dress - cut it to ribbons, set it on fire, crawl in mud, and worse!!

Stone Ridge Photographers isn't interested in destroying anyone's dress - we just want to take the girl and the dress and take them out of the traditional formal environment - out of the box!!

Spring is just around the corner!!  Call SRP today to schedule your TTD session with Stone Ridge Photographers!

Stone Ridge Photographers TTD is featured in the Spring/Summer issue of "Weddings with Style International" magazine!

Call it an extreme bridal portrait - have some serious fun in your dress, and create some wonderful art and  exciting images before putting it back in the closet!

Audrey's wedding was in August 2005, and we took her (and her mom) to War Eagle Mill for this wonderful session.  With four photographers, a videographer, great hair, makeup, dress, and beautiful girl, we all had a blast!

TTD FAQs

1.  Why in the world would I want to do this?  Good question.  Let’s start off by remembering that you only get to wear your wedding dress about four times in your life – once when you are looking for your perfect dress; once at the fitting; for your bridal portrait, and on your wedding day.  Participating in a TTD session gives you a chance to put on your beautiful dress one more time, and pose for pictures that you would never get the chance to do on your wedding day, and at a great location.  You can relax and enjoy looking fabulous in your dress one last time while we take great pictures of you looking relaxed and fabulous!

 2.  Will my dress be ruined?   The term “Trash the Dress” was coined by the photographer who came up with the idea.  It’s not our intention to ruin your dress, so we consider TTD to be more of an “extreme bridal,” or “extreme fashion” shoot, where we take you to a great location and shoot some unbelievably creative and beautiful shots.  If you’re worried about getting your dress wet or dirty, we suggest talking to a dry cleaner before the shoot about cleaning charges.

 3.  Does there have to be water?  Most brides who participate love the “getting wet” part, but that’s up to you!  We’ll be as adventurous as you are!

 4.  Where can we do a Trash the Dress shoot?  We have several locations that make great TTD backdrops.  We’ll talk to you before the shoot and pick the location that sounds most fun for you.

 5.  Can we do a TTD on our boat? Absolutely! In the boat, jumping off the boat, near the boat - lots of possibilities.

 6.  I got married four years ago.  Can I still do a TTD? You bet! It doesn’t matter how long ago you got married, if you still feel like a bride!

 7.  Can I do it with my husband? Two people who love each other, all dressed up and having a great time on location – sounds like twice the fun!!

 8.  Do I have to wear a wedding dress? TTD works for other outfits, too. If you aren’t married or have a formal dress you want to wear - prom, bridesmaid, etc. - that works for us!
