Engagements

We love engagement sessions because not only do we get to shoot great couples in awesome locations, we also get to know each other, make new friends, and give our couples a chance to know us and relax in front of the camera.  Our easy, laid-back sessions are fun and interactive, and we’re always looking for something a little different with every one — whether it’s a new pose, a new lighting technique, or capturing the unique way love is expressed and shown between two special people.

Helen & Jonathan — Equally at home on the farm or up in the mountains (wait ’til you see Helen’s bridal!), this friendly, quiet couple shot their engagement session at the University of Arkansas and at Jonathan’s dairy farm.  The barn made a terrific backdrop (did I mention we love old barns?), and the calves were a fun addition!

Elizabeth & Ben — The most natural place to shoot this nature-loving couple was, of course, in a state park!  Even though recent floods had piled debris along the creekbank, Elizabeth and Ben’s playfulness, love for each other, and willingness to “wade on out there” made it easy to get beautiful, “natural” shots of these great people!

Laura & Scott — When Laura & Scott asked if we would go to Hot Springs to shoot their engagement, we had our bags packed!  Shot during a rainy afternoon at the Arlington Hotel and across the street at Laura’s family restaurant, Rolando’s, the misty backdrop was a sultry contrast to this sunny couple’s fun disposition!
